My name is Mika Soininen and I’m a trained massage therapist and Traditional Kalevala Mobilization Therapy (TKMT) practitioner. I’m also trained in dry cupping.
A trained massage therapist is a health care professional who is authorized by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). All the trained massage therapists are registered in the nationwide register containing information on Finnish health care professionals, Terhikki. A trained massage therapist is always a safe choice.

Traditional Kalevala Mobilization Therapy (TKMT)
In the Traditional Kalevala Mobilization Therapy (TKMT) the goal is to find the source of the problems and balancing that part of the body helps the body to balance the rest. Whole body is treated every time, starting from the feet and all the way up to the head. TKMT is based on the mobilization style of Finnish bonesetting, meaning TKMT doesn’t use manipulation techniques or “cracking”. Mobilization techniques make TKMT an extremely gentle form of treatment that’s suitable for all ages.
Dry cupping
Dry cupping is suction cup assisted massage. The manual suction of the cups generates negative pressure inside cups. Dry cupping is a painless, hygienic and safe treatment that can greatly enhance the effectiveness of the massage. Dry cupping does not break the skin. Its effectiveness is based on the metabolic boosting effect of the vacuum created by the suction cup. Dry cupping is also called retained cupping or static cupping.
Dry cupping is always combined with a light massage to gently warm up the muscles and muscle membranes before cupping. For the first time, I recommend choosing a slightly shorter time, as the treatment has a strong metabolic effect. Dry cupping is available by appointment as an additional service to the classic massage.
